This interesting article in FD Persoonlijk (17th of Dec. 2016, by Ron Kaal) about the artist Marina Abramovic made me watch the fragment again of the emotional encounter between Marina and long time ex-lover Ulay. During Marina’s performance in MOMA (New York, 2010) ‘The Artist is Present’ (which lasted three months, eight hours a day), she shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. On opening night, Ulay arrived without Marina knowing, after not seeing eachother for over 20 years…
